Jedidiah was laid to rest October 10, 2014, after a tragic accident in his paddock.
Jedediah was a three year old Holsteiner/Arabian gelding. He was 15.3 hands and blind in one eye.
Somehow, Jedidiah knocked a hinge on his paddock gate loose and wedged his head between the fence and the gate, causing him to panic. The subsequent injuries included extensive damage to his jaw, with bone slivers traveling to his brain.
Unfortunately, he could not be saved.
He was very active and high strung but very smart and learned quickly. Jed could often be seen running full steam ahead through his paddock. He loaded, bathed, stood for farrier and was working on tying. He did not let his handicap bother him at all.
