Rescue relocates to new facility

Hope Equine Rescue has moved to Winter Haven, effective June 2018.

June 14, 2018 – Due to a generous donation from a private supporter, the rescue was able to relocate to a new facility this month. This facility will allow us to save more horses, minis and donkeys throughout the year.

The 10-acre property is located in Winter Haven. With the larger facility comes more need for volunteers. Please visit the volunteer page for details or check out the Facebook page for upcoming Volunteer Orientation dates.

The property features a large arena, multiple barns, stalls with individual turnout paddocks attached, a mini-barn for the smaller equine, a trail around the pastures and shelters for all. It also features a conference space for board members complete with indoor laundry and restroom facilities. The property is ripe with lush grass which will in turn, hopefully cut down on the hay bill.

Dani Horton, president of the rescue, can barely find words to express her thanks and gratitude to the donor. “This is all so surreal,” she said. “This relationship has established a permanent place for the rescue. Even after I’m gone, it will still be here.”
